• The adjudicator's decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • Time limits will be strictly adhered to. Appropriate cuts may be made to works to conform to time limits. Any performer exceeding the time limit may be stopped.
  • Contestants may enter only one solo section.
  • All contestants must provide a photocopy of the music on the day, the piano part for accompanied works, for use by the adjudicators. This will be destroyed at the end of the day, in line with copyright laws.
  • Any performance of a work well outside the prescribed AMEB level for a section will not be allowed to win a prize. Please check with the competition convener if you are unsure of the level of a work to be presented.
  • Places are strictly limited and entries will be processed in order of receipt. If a section is filled then reserve places will be offered up to the day of the competition.
  • All cash prizes will be presented after the event via Cheque.
  • All contestants will receive a written adjudication report after the announcement of the Prize Winners.
  • An official accompanist is provided on the day of the competition. Should you wish to rehearse with the accompanist prior to the competition please email the accompanist. Prior rehearsals to the competition are at the contestant’s own expense.
  • Entrants may provide their own accompanist at their own expense.
  • All entry fees are non-refundable.
  • A minimum of five entries will be required to proceed with the small ensemble category. Notification will be given after the closing date if it is to be cancelled.
  • Dress code: please dress appropriately i.e. smart casual/semi-formal/school uniform
