DESCRIPTION:On&nbsp\;Sunday 10th May\, Austral Harmony are hosting&nbsp\;SY
 LVAN GLADES - a pastoral-themed Chamber Music Workshop.&nbsp\;
 &nbsp\;

  The venue is&nbsp\;St John’s College Chapel&nbsp\;in&nbsp\;the&nbsp\;be
 autiful grounds of the&nbsp\;University of Queensland. The&nbsp\;light int
 imate space of the chapel features cedar wood and Australian timbers\, per
 fect for our&nbsp\;Arcadian setting. &nbsp\;
 &nbsp\;
 We will be lookin
 g at pastoral movements from Concerto Pastorale by Johann Christoph Pez wh
 ich is scored for 2 treble recorders &amp\; strings with opportunity for t
 he string parts to be doubled by other instruments. Music will be&nbsp\;su
 pplied&nbsp\;in advance.&nbsp\;
 &nbsp\;
 The Early Music Society of Que
 ensland is most generously lending us their&nbsp\;baroque string quartet i
 nstruments&nbsp\;(violin\, viola\, ‘cello) for anyone interested in givi
 ng these a try.&nbsp\;
 &nbsp\;
 The workshop will run from&nbsp\;12.30 
 - 2.30pm&nbsp\;including a short break. We&nbsp\;encourage&nbsp\;you to st
 ay for&nbsp\;the&nbsp\;Sylvan Glades &amp\; Crystal Fountains Concert from
  3-4pm where Austral&nbsp\;Harmony perform pastoral&nbsp\;music by Handel 
 - FREE to workshop attendees.&nbsp\;
