Stephen Moschnerprofile

Secretary Stephen Moschner is a founding member of the ADRS in 1996 and studied Oboe at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and Victorian College of the Arts. He is a busy administrator as well as performer and has worked with orchestras in Australia and overseas, and on events ranging from the Opening Ceremony of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games to local concerts.

Stephen teaches Reed Making at Melbourne University, Conservatorium of Music and for over 20 years has run Oboe Central ( Australia’s major supplier of Oboes, Oboe reeds, machines, accessories and technical advice to Oboe professionals and students.

In 2004, he was the manager of the IDRS Conference at Monash University and he was published in the International Double Reed Society Journal and presented at the International Conference at New York University on his work on teaching Circular Breathing. Stephen represents Oboe brand Patricola (Italy) and undertakes tours with international players.
