Matthew Ventura - Qld

He recently completed two years of postgraduate training at the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) and has appeared with MSO, QSO, TSO and CSO as a guest bassoonist. Matthew has won several solo and chamber music competitions, including the ADRS National Open Competition, the ADRS Baroque Competition, and Queensland Double Reed Society Competition.

As well as playing bassoon, contra and baroque bassoon, Matthew enjoys facilitating events to bring musicians together from around the community and has accepted the role of Queensland State Rep of the ADRS to further these opportunities in 2019.
